thomas sadoski-2Sadoski began his stage career in theatre in his role as an assistant to Mark Ruffalo (Mark Rosenthal) in the Off-Broadway production at the Second Stage Theatre of Kenneth Lonergan's critically acclaimed play This is Our Youth. This production was the first of many more for the New York-based theatre group. He has appeared in a variety of Off-Broadway and Broadway productions. He also appeared in several productions in regional theaters. He portrayed Greg in Neil LaBute's play Reasons to Be Beautiful for MCC Theatre with his Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. After a highly acclaimed sold-out run Off-broadway, it transferred to Broadway in April of 2009, where it won three Tony Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best Actress: Marin Ireland, Best Play) and three Drama Desk Award nominations (Best actor: Sadoski, Best Director: Terry Kinney and Best Play) Two Outer Critics Circle Award nominations (Best Actor: Sadoski, Best New Play),and three Drama League Award nominations (Best Play, Distinguished Performance Awards: Sadoski and Ireland). [6] Neil LaBute gives credit to Sadoski for the notable shift in the tone of being attractive that was influenced by the playwright's earlier works. "His personal sensitivity is a blessing, as is his heartfelt and thoughtfulness. It also helps me not to rely to anything I've done before," he said. My plays always have a dark ending. Although I believed that gray was real I was taught by him that there are many shades of life. He was the original Trip Wyeth character in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities, for which he received an Obie Award (and a Lucille Lortel Award). After a sell-out Off-Broadway show in November 2011, the play was transferred to Broadway and was named the award for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Performance by the Outer Critics Circle. Sadoski, Ben Stiller, Edie Failco, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Alison Pill, and Alison Pill were also seen on Broadway in John Guare's House of Blue Leaves.
